Capturing Moments, Not Creating Them

About Me

My love for life and art is the driving force behind my photography. I’m all about capturing people as they truly are—natural, relaxed, and full of personality. Forget the stiff poses; I’m into real moments that make you smile, using natural light to sprinkle a little magic on every scene.

Working with all kinds of people is one of the best parts of what I do. I know being in front of a camera can feel awkward, so I focus on making my clients feel comfortable and at ease—laughs are always welcome!

I aim to capture the genuine emotions and the unique vibe of your day, your family, and even those delightful moments with your new baby. My goal is for photos to not only convey something that feels natural but also, with the help of natural light, a bit magical.

A photography teacher once told me, “You make a picture, you don’t take a picture,” and it stuck with me. Photography isn’t just about snapping photos with a good camera—it’s about seeing the world in your own quirky way and telling a story through every image.

  • Natural light lifestyle photography is all about capturing genuine moments using the beauty of natural light. It showcases real-life interactions in beautiful, outdoor or well-lit indoor settings, allowing the light to enhance the mood and feel of the images. Natural light brings a soft, flattering glow that enhances the overall aesthetic of your photos. It creates a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to be yourself while I capture those authentic moments.

  • I specialize in various lifestyle sessions, including family portraits, newborn sessions, couples, weddings, portraits, headshots and even events.  (Artificial lights meant to mimic the look of natural light may be requested or required for some sessions, indoor events may require use of flash)

  • We’ll keep an eye on the forecast! If it looks like rain or clouds on our scheduled day, we’ll work together to find a new date that gives us that perfect natural light. Or alternatively, we can move the session indoors.

  • Absolutely! Just a heads-up—travel fees may apply for longer distances.

  • How long will our session last?

Most of our natural light sessions last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the type of session.   This gives us plenty of time to explore different locations and capture a variety of moments. I do allow for more time with newborn sessions, for feedings, changings, etc.

What should I wear for a shoot?

Dress comfortably and in a way that reflects your style! Light, airy fabrics and soft colors tend to work beautifully in natural light. For family sessions, similar consider coordinating colors, not matching.

What if I am not very comfortable having my photo taken?

My top priority is to capture the most authentic and relaxed versions of you and your family. I genuinely enjoy helping people feel at ease, making it feel like you’re chatting with a friend. We keep it fun.  I’ll gently point out any stiffness and offer suggestions on poses, hand positions, and other small details that can instantly transform a photo into something more natural and relaxed.

What if my children are being tough?

I always tell parents, BRIBERY! After the session, treat them to something they love, like ice cream. I have regular clients that this has become a tradition, and we all go together! This way your child associates me with fun.  Bring along a candy or snack that they’re particularly fond of. I’ve been working with kids for a while now, so I’ve seen it all! I guess you could say I’m a bit of a big kid at heart, which helps me stay positive and relate during tough sessions, or even the not-so-tough ones. Whatever it takes to get a smile on their face, I’m all for it!

    Where are the sessions done?

That is your choice! While I am partial to Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo, there is also Cobble Hill Park, Prospect Park, Central Park, or even in your own backyard (if you have one!) I come to you.  Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, New Jersey (within one hour via NJT) Long Island (within one hour via LIRR) Connecticut (within one hour via MNR) and beyond! * extra travel fees may apply

Can my pet be part of the session?

Please! I love all animals and completely believe they are family members.
